This is an ideal trek for those seeking an easy walk into the Western Himalayas. All the way it affords splendid views of meadows, snow clad peak, and large variety of flora and fauna. This trek gives a wonderful example of remote, traditional, village life in this part of the world, where shaman rituals are still very active. The destination is even more spectacular. Malana (2652Mts) is a village said to be inhabited by the descendents of Alexander ‘s army and some believe they are a tribe migrated from Central Asia . They have their own laws of governing the village which is supposedly the oldest form of democracy modeled on Greek city states.
