Over high mountain passes and through dense forests into the beautiful and unspoiled valleys of Kullu and Kangra lying ensconced between the mighty snow clad Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges and the lower Shivalik Hills in the south. All along the trail, you will encounter dense forests Deodar (Cedar) , green meadows, sparkling streams, deep blue lakes strewn with amazing variety of wild alpine flowers and sleepy little villages. The fauna spotted, can range from Himalayan Brown Bear To the elusive Musk Deer. Of bird life there is no dearth. Including the nervous snow cock and the Monal Pheasant. Each day presents different and strangely beautiful landscape all lavishly decorated. A trek that leaves one wondering at the awesome beauty of Himalaya.

Trek starts from Manali through a massive forest of Giant Deodar (Cedar), Alder and oak. The trail gradually climbs to the lush green meadow of Lamadugh. Brilliant shrubs of Rhododendron and Birch pave the way. Next part of the walk is through the Moraine affording magnificent view of the mountain peaks of Kullu and Lahaul. Then steep climb through moraine and ice to the top of the Kali Hani Pass. Breathtaking view envelops the crest of the Pass. Further the journey winds down to the valley floor along the Soony River to the ancient Village of Bara Bhangal. Bara Bhangal: A remote and isolated Village inhabited by legendry Himalayan Shepherds (the Gaddhi’s) who lead a nomadic life. In the summer they lead their vast flocks of sheep and Goat’s to the high mountains and return back to their isolated existence in the autumn. From here we trek amidst the spectacular Dhauladhar Range over Thamsar Pass from rocky and glacial terrain to the softer landscape. Last part of the trek is through leafy bridle path meadows, forests and the cascading waterfalls; soon the tiny villages makes appearance litteraly hanging on the shoulders of the hillside, giving them a surrealistic appearance. Through the forest of Oak and Rhododendron, with an extensive view of the lush green Kangra Valley the trek finally ends at Bir – A small Tibetan Village that has a monastery. From Bir we drive to Dharamsala.
